The Story

The Headmaster commits a crime. He steals a single page from a condemned book: William Blake's 'Songs of Innocence & Experience'.

In the crowd of children, only a girl named Alexandria sees his crime. The Headmaster does not know if she will betray him to the Fire Wardens.

With the armed Wardens all around, the Headmaster is forced to whisper his story. The story of a Chimney Sweep and the Library of Burned Books.

The girl listens to the story in wonder.

But a Warden is listening too.
